Mayor Rawlings-Blake Issues Statement on the Retirement of Baltimore Police Department Deputy Commissioner Rodriguez
BALTIMORE, Md. (March 13, 2015)—Today, Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake issued the following statement regarding the retirement of Baltimore Police Department Deputy Commissioner Jeronimo "Jerry" Rodriguez:
“I want to thank Deputy Commissioner Jeronimo "Jerry" Rodriguez for his dedicated service to the people of Baltimore City. A truly exceptional public servant, we owe him a tremendous debt of gratitude. Throughout his years on service, both in Los Angeles and here in Baltimore, Deputy Commissioner Rodriguez has been an extremely effective leader, helping lead the charge to rebuild public trust in the Baltimore Police Department. I know that by following the rigorous standard he has set, we will continue to press forward as we bring more transparency and accountability to policing in Baltimore City. We wish him the very best in his retirement.”
